I greeted my cousin at church yesterday and she took note of my purple sweater saying that my mom loved purple and that her mom (my mom's sis) still had a few pieces of my mom's purple clothing in her closet. I had no idea: that she still had some of her clothing, that purple was a favorite color of my mom. I had always loved purple and my daughter adores purple.
Looking at a small picture of my mom on my mantle, I miss her. Strange after all these years. I'd like to talk to her more about 'purple'. I'd like to update my picture of her. She was taken away from us in 1988. Still remembered. So many family dynamics changed when she died. One person's influence is profound, though they are seldom recognized for that influence.
To all of you out there who have touched my life, I give thanks for you. And I thank God for blessing me with children and grandchildren who have profoundly changed My life. Your influence is wide and fills my soul.
